How about clean and maintain Rattan furniture

Start by using a fairly stiff brush all over the surfaces to loosen and remove caked-on grime, such as mud or moss. This will get deep into the strands of the rattan, but don’t be too aggressive or you risk damaging the finish. Then use the soft brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner all over the surface of the item to suck up any loosened dirt and dust.

Next, add a small amount of ordinary washing-up liquid to a large bucket of warm water – don’t use cleaners containing bleach or scouring agents as these can lead to tiny cracks in the plastic threads of the furniture, which will attract dirt.

Using a soft sponge or cloth, wipe all over the furniture surfaces with this detergent solution, paying attention to really grubby areas. Leave it to soak for a minute or two, then rinse the entire item with cold water, using a gentle spray setting on your garden hose. Don’t use any type of pressure-washer as these can damage the finish of your furniture.
